THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY AWARDS A CONTRACT TO A GUAM ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING FIRM TO CONDUCT HISTORICAL RESEARCH ON A POTENTIAL BROWNSFIELD SITE AT THE PINA PLATEAU ON TINIAN.

Acting BEQ Director Ray Masga says the contract was awarded last week to Allied Pacific Environmental Consulting.

 

GOVERNOR ELOY INOS ESTABLISHES A WAR ON ICE TASK FORCE. INOS SAYS IT WILL HELP COMBAT THE ADDICTIVE AND DESTRUCTIVE SUBSTANCE THAT IS SPREADING THROUGH THE COMMONWEALTH.

In an executive order, Inos says the smuggling, distribution, and use of crystal meth has disrupted the CNMI. The War On Ice Task Force will include all branches of government.

 

THE CNMI MAY HAVE ITS FIRST DRUG COURT ESTABLISHED SOON.

Associate Judge David Wisemen addressed the CNMI Bar Association about his hopes for a drug court in the Commonwealth.
