MAN GUILTY OF EMBEZZLING NEARLY 2 MILLION DOLLARS FROM THE COMMONWEALTH HEALTHCARE CORPORATION IS SENTENCED IN FEDERAL COURT.

 

MELVIN ADA APPEARED BEFORE CHIEF JUDGE RAMONA MANGLONA WHO SENTENCED HIM TO SERVE 151 MONTHS IN PRISON...OR ABOUT 12 AND HALF YEARS WITH 500 HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE.

 

DUE TO THE RECENT NEWS OF THE RESIGNATION OF SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE C–N–M–I DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY MARVIN SEMAN, THERE ARE NOW SOME ADJUSTMENTS UNDERWAY IN THE CABINET.

 

IN A MEMO TO ALL CABINET MEMBERS AND AGENCY HEADS WEDNESDAY, DECMEBER 16, ACTING GOVERNOR RALPH TORRES APPOINTS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSIONER JAMES DELEON GUERRERO AS ACTING SPECIAL ASSISTANT FOR HOMELAND SECURTY EFFECTIVE THURSDAY.  BECAUSE OF THE MOVEMENTS, DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS COMMISSIONER ROBERT A. GUERRERO WILL ASSUME THE POSITION OF ACTING COMMISSIONER OF PUBLIC SAFETY.  AND D–O–C CAPTAIN JOSE PANGELINAN WILL BE ACTING D–O–C COMMISSIONER EFFECTIVE THURSDAY THIS WEEK AS WELL.

 

THE PUBLIC DEFENDER'S OFFICE IN SUSUPE JUST GOT POWER AT THE END OF LAST WEEK.

PUBLIC DEFENDER DOUG HARTIG TELLS K–S–P–N IT HAS BEEN DIFFICULT TRYING TO FIND A PLACE TO WORK OVER THE MONTHS.  NOW THAT POWER HAS BEEN RESTORED, THE OFFICE IS IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING BACK IN.
